How long before pain relief starts? Both versions of the LaKOTA Topical Pain Relievers work in minutes. Some receive 100% pain relief in as little as 5 minutes, for others though, maximum pain relief may occur more gradually over a period of 3 to 4 days. Severity of your pain and the interaction of your own biological makeup with the active ingredients will determine how quickly and effectively LaKOTA works for you. These topical pain relievers primarily work by decreasing “Substance P“, a neurotransmitter that sends pain signals from the site of pain to the brain. Applying LaKOTA to the area of pain decreases or eliminates Substance P from the nerve endings in the area of application. By reducing the amount of Substance P at the site of pain it reduces or eliminates the pain sensation that gets sent to the brain. Please do not compare the LaKOTA topicals to any other topical pain relievers that you’ve ever tried as there is simply no comparison!

How long does pain relief last? Most users of the
LaKOTA Topical Pain Reliever should receive 12 to 24 hours of pain relief with a single application. However, during the initial stages of use, pain relief will probably last from 3-5 hours, gradually increasing with each application. The LaKOTA Sports Topical does not last as long, about 2-5 hours, but it too can build up at the site of application and eventually provide longer lasting relief. Experiment and find out which product is best for you.

How often should LaKOTA be applied? During the first seven days the LaKOTA Topical Pain Reliever should be applied 3-4 times daily. After which time it should only be necessary to apply once or twice daily. As for the LaKOTA Sports Topical Pain Reliever apply prior to exercise or exertion as needed.

How much should be applied? Start with a small amount. Apply just enough to cover the affected area and gently rub in until fully absorbed.

Are there any areas that
LaKOTA should not be applied? Yes. The LaKOTA Topical Pain Relievers should not be applied to broken or irritated skin, such as cuts and sores. Care should also be taken to avoid getting in eyes or other sensitive areas of the body. If LaKOTA gets in eyes, flush thoroughly with water.

Are there any side effects associated with the
LaKOTA Topical Pain Relievers? There are no known harmful side effects with the LaKOTA Topical Pain Relievers. Some people may feel a heating sensation during the first few applications. Some people like this heat and some don’t. Some feel nothing whatsoever, the pain just goes away. For those who don’t like the heat then the Sports formula is the one for you. The heating sensation that many feel with the stronger formula, the LaKOTA Topical Pain Reliever, should gradually diminish with each subsequent application to where it is non-existent; usually a few days of continuous use. Warm water or excessive sweating may cause the LaKOTA Topical Pain Reliever to feel hot. Again, this sensation should also diminish with each subsequent application.
